Have you ever marveled at the revelation that Lord Rama bestowed upon Hanuman? It is said that he revealed to the devoted Hanuman the boundless expanse of the universe, an unfathomable vastness that extends beyond comprehension, encompassing not just one universe but a multitude of interconnected universes—the mesmerizing multiverse.
Many years after the fierce battle with the Ravana, a sudden realization dawned upon Lord Rama that his time as an incarnation had reached its culmination. As the moment arrived for Rama to depart for Vaikuntha, his thoughts turned to Hanuman first. Hanuman stood as an unwavering guardian at the gates of Ayodhya, rendering even Yamraj incapable of taking Rama away. In response to this devoted loyalty, Rama orchestrated a final, ingenious plan.
On a particular day, following his meticulously devised plan, Lord Rama purposefully dropped his beloved ring into a narrow crack in the ground. As the ring disappeared from sight, he turned towards Hanuman, beseeching him to retrieve the precious item with great care and devotion. Upon receiving Rama's earnest request, Hanuman gracefully shrank in size, taking on his subtle form, and elegantly entered the narrow crevice. As he ventured deeper and deeper, the path led him to the mystical realm of the serpent world.

In that enchanting realm, Hanuman encountered the impressive figure of Vasuki (king of the snakes), who stood in majestic presence. Curiosity filled Vasuki's eyes as he inquired about the purpose of Hanuman's arrival. With utmost respect, Hanuman explained that Lord Rama's cherished ring had inadvertently descended into this sacred realm, and he had come with the sole mission of retrieving it.
In response, Vasuki inquired which particular Lord Rama Hanuman referred to. Hanuman humbly replied that there is only one Shri Ram, the divine incarnation they both revered. However, Vasuki gently corrected him, revealing a profound truth. In this vast and infinite universe, multiple universes exist, and in each Treta Yuga, a different Shri Ram graces the stage and inadvertently drops his ring. Every time, it is Hanuman's sacred duty to embark on the quest to retrieve the precious ring, reinforcing the eternal bond between Lord Rama and his devoted devotee. Thus, in the absence of Hanuman, Lord Rama's departure from the earth indeed signifies his ultimate demise.
Indeed, Lord Rama's action carries a profound message, enlightening Hanuman about the vastness of existence. Rama deliberately allows the ring to fall repeatedly to make Hanuman aware that the Shri Ram he serves is not the sole one in the cosmos. Countless other manifestations of Shri Ram exist, each weaving their unique divine play within the multiverse. It serves as a reminder of the boundless nature of divine consciousness, transcending the limitations of time and space.
