Sometimes some pictures are taken unknowingly in such a way that they even show what is not actually there and sometimes after even being true, they seem false. Among such amazing pictures, one such staircase is captured, about which no one knows where it leads. We are saying this because no one has been able to reach its end, but whenever its photo surfaced, it looked fake.
We often used to hear that there is such a stairway that goes straight up into the sky and if one walks on it, they can see the gate of heaven above. Something similar has been designed to "Diminish and Ascend", a welded aluminum stairway sculpture. When you climb on it, you will realize this stairway is getting shorter one after the other, and at last, it becomes completely narrow, which looks from a distance as if it has gone up into the distant sky. But in reality, the sculpture is an optical illusion and because of its spectacular optical illusion ability, it was referred to as a "stairway to heaven".

This incredible art piece was first displayed in Bondi Beach, Australia in 2013, and was named "Diminish and Ascend". The artwork was designed by New Zealand artist David McCracken. Taking a picture of it creates a different kind of illusion as if these stairs are going straight to heaven. Although the stairs are 31 feet long, David McCracken has made it in such a way that it seems infinite. Actually, he has prepared this optical illusion with the steps of the stairs as it starts with the wider steps at the bottom, which gets narrower while going up.

No one can reach the top of the stairs to know what is visible from there, but looking up from below, these stairs look like a "stairway to heaven". After Australia, it was displayed in New Zealand's Waiheke Island in 2016, since then it has been installed in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens in Kiosk Lake.
