December 18, 2012, i.e. three days before the doomsday (21 December 2012), when it was being said that the end of the world is about to happen, such an incident took place in Jodhpur, which made the people living there quite scared. On that day, such a sound resounded in the sky of Jodhpur, hearing which people ran out of their homes out of fear. At 11:25 in the morning, the people of Jodhpur heard a loud booming sound, and the sound was probably so loud that if it was heard for a few more seconds, the glasses of all the houses there would have been broken. Such a sound is commonly known as Skyquake, also called a mystery boom.
This is not an incident that has happened only in Jodhpur, but many similar incidents have occurred in many parts of the world. Actually, Skyquake is such a sound originating from the sky that sounds like a cannon fire or a sonic boom. A sonic boom is a sound associated with shock waves produced by an object traveling through the air at speeds faster than the speed of sound. Skyquake can also produce shockwaves which can cause vibration in a building or across a particular area. A sonic boom produces a huge amount of sound energy, like an explosion.

According to some people, on that particular day, some tests were going on in the army area but the army directly denied that claim as they said no tests were conducted that day. So what exactly happened that day remained a mystery. Scientists have not yet found out what is the real cause for these mystery booms, but it is believed that these sounds can be of meteors, military aircraft, volcanoes, etc. These sonic booms have been heard from time to time in several locations around the world.
