There exists such a divine realm in our world, where great saints and advanced sages have been engaged in deep penance for thousands of years, where there is no limit of time, and the secret of being immortal is also hidden. This place is called with different names like Gyanganj, Shangri-La, Siddhashram, or mostly Shambhala. It is the dream of almost all spiritual seekers to visit this place at once in their life.
Shambhala is a mythical city, the dwelling of immortals, whose location is believed to be somewhere in the Himalayas. The city is mentioned in ancient texts such as the Kalachakra Tantra and the Tibetan Zhang Zhung text. The legend of this spiritual kingdom dates back thousands of years and the city is believed to still exist somewhere in the Himalayan region. The city is considered so sacred that only those who are completely pure in mind and soul are eligible to live here. The inhabitants of this kingdom never fall sick and never grow old. Peace and wisdom always reign here.
Due to its spiritual significance, the city has been sought by many spiritual seekers and many even claimed to have visited this holy kingdom. But no one has been able to provide concrete proof of this. Some believe that the way to enter this immortal city is in an old deserted Buddhist monastery located in a remote place in the Himalayas, which is guarded by the guardians of Shambhala. While according to others the city is located in a different dimension, making it invisible to the people. But whenever the residents of this Siddhashram want, they can reveal this place to anyone.
There is no wind in this divine city, nor is there any light from the moon or the sun, rather a divine white light is always spread all around this kingdom. There is such a lake here, taking a dip in which all the diseases of a person are destroyed immediately and also there is a Kalpavriksha (a wish-fulfilling divine tree) standing in front of which whatever is asked for is immediately obtained. Such trees, plants, and flowers are present here whose beauty is not possible to describe. Shambhala is considered timeless which means there is no effect of time here and the age of the sages living here stops in the same state in which they enter this divine ashram.
The Shambhala yogis give initiation to the advanced seekers and give them training. Here, they are trained in advanced sciences like solar science, lunar science, gravity, sky science, and so on. After this training, great divine powers come to the sadhakas (spiritual seekers), by which they can control the whole universe if they want. A small example of this is Rama's sons Luv and Kush, who were trained for a few months by Siddha yogi Mahavatar Babaji of Shambhala, and on the strength of that training, they defeated some great warriors. But one in a million yogis are destined to enter this divine ashram. For most yogis who entered Gyanganj, there is no point in returning to this material world, but still, there have been some saints who have returned from Shambhala for public welfare. Almost every spiritual master has knowledge about this divine realm whether he talks about it publicly or not.
The dwellers of Shambhala remain free from hunger and thirst and spend their entire life with complete satisfaction. There is a popular belief about Shambhala that there exists a palace in its center that shines like a diamond. There are also some prophecies related to Shambhala, according to Buddhism, the future king of this city will come out with his huge army to rid the world of injustice and sin. Whereas in Hinduism, it has been said in the Vishnu Purana that Shambhala will be the birthplace of Kalki, the tenth and last incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who will re-establish the Satyuga.
