There is such a mysterious forest in the Western Ghats of India, which if you see at night, you will be greatly impressed by the charismatic view of nature. Although the jungle is full of ferocious animals including wild elephants and tigers, and at the same time, many secrets are hidden inside it as well. But its most incredible feature includes the forest glows and lights up in the dark according to wildlife tourists claims. This is a rare phenomenon, due to which the forest is seen glowing at night for a few weeks of the year. Scientists have confirmed that this beautiful phenomenon is caused by bio-luminescent fungi that usually glow after sunset when the forest is dark. A similar sight has also been seen on a glowing beach.
Bio-luminescent fungi typically sprout on decaying bark and twigs of trees, and therefore, can be seen growing on dead tree trunks and rotten wood, and due to moisture, these fungi become abundant in forests. These fungi are shaped like small mushrooms. This is seen more in the forests of the Western Ghats adjacent to Maharashtra and Goa. This 1600 kilometers dense forest chain is stretch from the western coast of Gujarat to southern Kerala. This evergreen forest of Western ghats is home to Asian elephants, tigers, and especially the Black Panther. But due to a lack of much research, this region still remains a puzzle for scientists.
One such unique forest is also in Poland, in which the lower part of all the existing trees is bent in a certain way. Pine trees started growing here around 1930 and it is believed that trees were planted here to get naturally twisted trees, but no one knows the secret behind their trunk curvature. Due to such oddly-shaped pine trees, the forest is referred to as Crooked Forest.
Now while talking about such amazing places, let's add one more extraordinary place to the list, although it is not a forest but still you should have knowledge about it. Almost everyone must have heard the name of Medusa, who had snakes instead of hair and whoever looked into her eyes turned into stone. Well, it is a matter of Greek mythology, but such a place exists in reality, in which if something goes, it becomes a stone. Actually, it is a "well", named "Petrifying Well", in which anything falling like leaves, wood, or anything else turns into stone after some time. Because this well has a tremendous ability to turn objects into stone. Things like a teddy bear, a bicycle, and toys can be seen in the well that has now completely turned into stone.
