Over the centuries, the stories of many lost cities are being told as legends and many of which are so wonderful that it does not seem possible to be real. But there are many people who, due to many facts, believe that these lost cities existed before or are still there, or their remains must be present somewhere even today.
Earlier, when science was not so advanced, it was easy to believe these tales. But today when science is so developed and we can see every corner of the earth through modern satellites, all these lost cities seem like a myth. Because we don't find their clue anywhere. But even with so much modern technology, we have not been able to fully see the bottom of the ocean and the dense forests, which raises the possibility that many such lost cities may still exist today. So today we will discuss one such mysterious disappeared city, which has been debated in the world for many centuries.
In the 16th century, when the Spanish started colonizing South America, they heard from locals about a lost city existed in an unknown region of South America. This city is said to be made entirely of gold, such that its buildings, roads, streets, and temples were all in golden form, and its king was a priest whose entire body was covered with gold dust. The name of the city Was "El Dorado". "El Dorado" is the biggest example of man's craze for gold.

Many famous explorers searched for this golden city, but none of them succeeded. Many consider this city to be fictional and it is believed that the word "El Dorado" does not refer to a city, but it simply means "The Golden Man". The word "The Golden Man" comes from a tradition of the Muisca tribe. As part of the ritual, the person who was to become king was brought to a lake named Guatavita and there his body was stripped of his clothes and gold ashes were sprinkled over his body. A lot of gold was also loaded along with it. When that person used to bathe in the middle of the lake, people used to throw gold into the lake. Because of this many tonnes of gold is buried in the lake. The whole region was full of gold mines, so gold was used extensively in such rituals.

Reportedly, the civilization of the Muisca people was famous for its metal crafting skills, and at that time this civilization was very flourishing in the area. It is believed that there was gold in the soil as well and perhaps that's why the king there also used to bathe in gold ashes. The property has now taken the form of a treasure, for which many people have sacrificed their lives. But greed is such a curse that people are still trying to find this treasure. Many people consider this city to be real and believe that this city is hidden in the dense Amazon forests of America or in any other inaccessible place and even today efforts are on to find it.
