If we talk about Hindu culture, we will definitely find the description of Soma in history, which has been described as a fermented juice drink, which was used by Hindu gods and goddesses and Brahmins of ancient times. It is considered like an elixir that the physical body of the person used to be free from all diseases and the age of the physical body did not progress further if kept drinking it. Not only this, a lot has been written about this miraculous drink in the Vedas and Puranas. If we see in Bhagavad Gita, in Chapter 9, verse 20, Krishna says that the one who drinks Somras made from the Soma plant, his past bad deeds will be destroyed and will be purified.
The sacred Hindu text, Rigveda, has a mandala about Soma, according to which drinking Somras makes a person immortal and his senses come under his control. Also, that person gets in touch with the gods and goddesses dwelling in heaven and the physical body gets strength and the consciousness starts moving towards divine light. In such a situation, no enemy can harm him. Somras was made from the Soma plant, a plant mentioned in Rigveda whose leaves shine in the dark. It was a plant inside which juice was filled. The process of making Somras was quite simple, firstly the Soma plant was found and crushed with the stone, after which the juice was separated from the shells.

The soma plant was said to have been available in abundance, where the Rig Vedic and the Avestan people lived. We also come across a character named Apala in Rig Veda who was very beautiful and wanted people to be constantly attracted to her, so she used to chew the Soma plant. By doing this she always remained young and beautiful. But as our civilization progressed, we forgot our ancient knowledge and today we have no information about Soma plant. The description of this drink is also found in ancient Persia under the name "Hom (haoma)" and it is believed that Somras also came from ancient Persia.
According to Rig Veda, the Soma plant grows on Mount Mujavant, a Himalayan range. It is believed that the Soma plant is present only in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas. Ayurveda, Siddha medicine, and Somayajna practitioners believe that the soma plant is actually Somalatha, but similar variations also exist. But the truth is that today we do not have any information about this miraculous plant.
