The Himalayas are considered to be the natural home of the world's most diverse and rarest herbs. Most of these herbs are unknown to us as we have no idea about them but in ancient times Vaidyas or physicians had a lot of knowledge about these herbs. According to them, such magical herbs are available in the Himalayas, with the help of which we can do many miracles with the human body.
A similar description of Sanjeevani Booti is found in Ramayana when Meghanada attacked Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana with a powerful weapon, leaving him badly injured and rendered unconscious. After this, Sushena Vaidya sent Hanuman to Dronagiri mountain in the Himalayas to bring Sanjivani Booti. Hanuman failed to locate the herb and therefore, without wasting time in finding this life-resurrecting herb, he carried the entire Dronagiri mountain all the way to Lanka to save Laxman's life.
This Sanjeevani herb can cure any disease or ailment present in the body. It was given in ancient times, especially to those whose death was certain. At an altitude of 11,800 feet above sea level, people living near Dronagiri mountain today worship that mountain and do not like Hanuman much because he broke the mountain to which the faith of the people present there was attached. It is not that this Sanjivani described in the Ramayana period is an imagination, but it is mentioned in our scriptures in other places as well. In the Mahabharata, the Daitya guru Shukracharya saved the lives of many Daityas by using Sanjivani Booti, who were defeated by the Devas.
Apart from this, King Yayati, one of the ancestors of the Pandavas, regained his youth with Sanjivani Booti. In the year 2009, the Uttarakhand government started the search for this herb, but due to a low budget, this expedition was closed. It is believed that even today somewhere in this vast area of the Himalayas such divine herbs exist which can perform great miracles. Maybe someday someone will find this life-saving herb that would generate an ability in us to fight any disease as well as the possibility of rejuvenation.
