There exists a mysterious temple in Rajasthan, India named "Kiradu Temple", which is popularly believed to be a cursed temple that was cursed to turn anyone around it into stone. Such horrifying stories are quite prevalent about this temple. It is a very peaceful place, means if anyone comes here, he will feel the peace invoked here. It is also far away from the city and no one likes to visit there, especially at night. It has a lot of historical prominences, but despite this, you will find very few tourists there. But there are many people who are not familiar with the story of this temple.
Legends state that 108 temples were built at this place between the 11-12th centuries, but only 5 of them survive. There is no scientific evidence that this temple is cursed. But it is also true that no one makes the mistake of entering this temple after sunset.
Years ago King Someshwar used to rule this place and after many foreign invasions peace was disturbed here. To bring back peace in the village, the king invited a great sage to perform rituals so that prosperity could be restored in the entire kingdom. After completing all the rituals, there was a rekindling of love among the people and the economy also got a boost. After bringing back the happiness, the sage left the kingdom, but due to his good heart, he left one of his disciples there to ensure the complete happiness and prosperity of the locals for the sake of the kingdom.
But once the kingdom regained its prosperity, the villagers forgot about the disciple and stopped giving importance to him. No one was grateful to him and even there was no contact with the sage for a long time. With the passage of time, the disciple fell ill but none except a potter's wife came forward for his help and nursed him back to good health. But when the sage got informed about this, he returned enraged and saw what respect the villagers had towards his disciple.
Filled with uncontrollable anger, the sage cursed the whole village to turn into stone, except the potter's wife, and spared her because of the kind service she showed towards his sick disciple. Since then, the village became cursed, including the temples. Now since the curse was given at night, no one wants to visit this place after sunset.
In addition, the architecture of the temples will simply blow your mind, and due to the workmanship done on it, many people wonder how it would have been done in earlier times. Its symmetry and design will amaze you a lot and its detailed work depicts many things as well.
