Thomas Johnson - The Time Travel Story Of A Boy Who Disappeared In 1912 And Returned In 1970

Many such incidents of time slips have been reported around the world where people suddenly feel as if the environment around them is no longer the same as it was some time before. But luckily, after a few years, they also return to their original time frame. One similar time travel story we are going to present in front of you today.

This story dates back to 1912 when a ten-year-old boy Thomas Johnson lived with his father in the countryside of New York. There were several farms near their home that served as large playgrounds for Thomas and his friends. There exists an artificial lake near his father's farm which was considered very mysterious as very strange things were happening around and inside. Thomas's father strictly forbade him and his friends to go nearer the lake as many unusual accidents had already happened there. As several times the animals went to the lake and never returned as they disappeared under suspicious circumstances. 

One day, ignoring his father's words, Thomas went closer to the lake with his friends. The children noticed that suddenly a "whirlpool" started forming in the lake. Curious Thomas wanted to go a little closer to the lake to better see what was happening. In an instant, his friends became completely shocked to see how that whirlpool engulfed Thomas, making him disappear in the water as if someone had vanished into the air. 

The frightened children went and informed Thomas's father about the whole incident and he ran quickly to the lake, but it was too late. Later, he sought help from the police. The police began a big search operation as different teams were formed and the entire area was searched but no clue of Thomas was found. Time passed but Thomas's father was hopeful that his son would return soon. But later he understood that behind this tragic accident of Thomas, there is a hand of an invisible force living in the lake. 

In 1970, almost 60 years after that unfortunate event, Thomas's father was now turned 91. One day in the month of July, he was walking on his farm and started remembering the memories of Thomas, when suddenly a similar whirlpool began to form in the lake that had absorbed his son. Shortly, a boy began to appear in the water, whose age seemed to be about 15 years. The father immediately recognized that it was Thomas, but the son was considering him an unknown person. But after a little conversation, Thomas got confirmed that he is his father. For a while, the father could not believe that his son had returned after so many years and standing right in front of him.

Thomas had traveled through an invisible time portal to a place where time passed more slowly than on Earth. Thomas had only passed five years but 60 years had passed on earth. Father and son were extremely happy at their reunion. but both also had the sorrow of the past years' separation. Now this news came in front of the people and reached the local authorities. The police thought it was an impostor who wanted to take over the property of the old man by the name of Thomas. The police asked him several questions about Thomas, to which the boy answered correctly. 

The police also took his fingerprints but were completely shocked to see the results when the prints were exactly the same as Thomas Johnson's. Now this news had become even bigger and people from distant areas started reaching these two. Both of them got so upset that they changed their place and also changed their identity. Thomas never revealed to anyone what world he was in for five years and what he saw there.
