Imagine you are sleeping comfortably on your bed, and suddenly your bed starts shaking. You wake up in a panic and see that everything in your room is moving in one direction. You open the window of the room and see that there is devastation everywhere. People are running hither and thither, animals are panicked and birds are circling madly in huge flocks. In an instant, some old buildings crumble in front of you, and you might be next in line. So is it an earthquake and if yes then how much is its intensity, you immediately turn on the TV and see the anchor dancing violently in his wretched studio with the mike in hand, telling that the earth is speeding up its rotation.
When you spin a football or a basketball on your finger, you always want to speed it up a bit, as spinning faster would make it look cool, leaving an impressive impression on others. Now just imagine what would happen if one day even God intended to spin the earth as fast as this football on his finger. If one day suddenly the spinning speed of the earth starts increasing, how long will we be able to survive? And what would happen if the earth starts spinning at the speed of light?
First of all, we know that the surface of the earth at the equator moves at a speed of 460 meters per second and if there is a slight change in the rotational speed of the earth, its terrible effects will definitely be visible to us. If we increase the rotational speed of the earth by just 0.45 m/s, i.e. increase it to 460.45 m/s, then the day will be shortened by 90 seconds. This will not be such a big change that we will notice in our daily life, but its effect on the climate will definitely be seen. Now if we increase its rotational speed by 45 m/s i.e. (460 + 45) = 505 m/s, then it will reduce the duration of one day of the earth by two hours. But most of its effect is going to be seen in the Earth's climate as 20-meter-high waves will start rising in the ocean and tsunami conditions will be formed near the equator.

Now if we double the rotational speed of the earth i.e. 920 m/s, then its result is going to be extremely devastating for us. Waves will rise so high in the ocean that everything on land will be submerged underwater. From this water, you will be able to survive only by climbing the highest mountains on the earth. Satellites orbiting the Earth are designed to move at a certain speed along with the Earth's rotation. If the rotational speed of the earth suddenly becomes so fast, then the synchronization of all the satellites with the earth will deteriorate and our entire communication system will fail. We will neither be able to call each other nor will it be possible to hear any news on TV.
The increase in rotational speed will also leave a very bad effect on the weather. The amount of moisture in the air will start increasing rapidly, as a result of which there will be dense fog all around and you will also have difficulty in breathing. Now if we keep increasing the rotational speed of the earth like this, then a time will come when nothing will be able to stay on the ground and everything will start flying in the air. When the rotational speed reaches 7886 m/s, the value of centrifugal force will exceed the force of gravity and we will all leave the ground and go on a sky tour. The rain that we usually see falling from the sky towards the ground will change its direction and start traveling from the earth to the sky. That means you will get to see reverse rain.
Now if the speed reaches up to 11000 m/s, the shape of the earth will start to become oval and its core will begin to bulge from the equator and become flat from the poles. We will get to see such earthquakes on earth which we cannot even imagine and the one who can imagine this may not even exist till that time. Because it is not possible for anyone to survive on such a fast-rotating earth.
Now finally if we increase the rotational speed to 299,792,458 m/s (speed of light), it will be 6,52,000 times faster than today's speed of the earth. The shape and form of the earth will change completely as the earth which is maintaining the shape of a sphere today will start flattening rapidly and in a few moments, it will be completely flattened like a disc. Maybe at that time, the people of the flat earth society will proudly say the earth is indeed flat.

Due to such a fast speed, time on earth will begin to slow down and there will come a time when it will freeze completely. That is, everything in it is going to stop where it was as if someone had said the statue. According to Einstein's mass-energy equation, if an object approaches the speed of light, the object's mass becomes infinite. Earth with infinite mass will turn into a tiny black hole and the size of this black hole will not be more than two to three centimeters. But it doesn't matter at all, because by that time we won't be alive anyway. Hence, Earth rotating at the speed of light can never remain a planet.
