The Tree Of Rape - The Haunted Tree of Raniban | A Tree In The Jungle, Which Is Said To Be Spooky

Nepal, a small but beautiful country, located in the Himalayan region, containing eight of the world's ten highest peaks. The curiosity of traveling there arises just by looking at the photos of some picturesque places there. But it will surprise you a little that there are some such places in Nepal that are as beautiful as they are scary. So in today's story, we are going to mention a similar place in Nepal that is considered beautiful and also the scariest.

Nepal has been ruled by several kings, and one of these kings was Surendra Bikram Shah, who ruled Nepal from 1847 to 1881. The king had a daughter whom he loved very much, and in the year 1850, the king gifted his daughter a village located in the Achham District of western Nepal. Due to the beautiful forest present there, the princess was greatly attracted towards that place. The place took its name, "Raniban", which literally means "the queen's forest". The incredible beauty of the forest compelled the queen to spend most of her time in the forest, as the place was no less than a paradise during that time. But with the passage of time, this paradise has turned into a spooky region. 

There is a huge tree in Raniban which is now thought to be haunted, where people avoid passing nearby, especially at night. Some reports say that the unusual noises of a girl crying can be heard there at night but one finds nothing when go and see. But some even saw a ghostly figure sitting at the top of the tree. Locals earlier used to visit Raniban to experience the beautiful view of sunrise and sunset, but now they are afraid to step into this area because of this haunted tree. The horror of this tree among the people might be linked to the previous incident that occurred in the past. As there is a very agonizing incident attached to the tree which took place in the earlier past, the silence of which can still be felt there. 

On asking the locals you will get to hear the story of such a girl who used to live near this area. She often used to go for a walk in the Raniban, but once the evil eye of an unknown man fell on her. The man raped the girl and murdered her right under the tree. Exactly two days after the incident, the dead body of the murderer was also found hanging on the same tree. The sudden death of the murderer convinced people that the girl had taken her revenge. But even after this, the girl's spirit didn't find peace, and many paranormal activities had been reported by the locals. The locals admitted that the girl has not harmed anyone till date, but she has been spotted many times in Raniban, which in itself gives a frightening feeling.
