Bigfoot is such a mysterious creature that is claimed to be seen in the forests of North America. A giant ape-like creature that walks on two legs despite being seven to nine feet tall. Every year thousands of people claim to have seen this creature. Also, many have given bigfoot pictures, video clips, gigantic foot marks, and even DNA samples as evidence. But some people still consider it nothing more than a fantasy. If we explore the folklores around the world, we find numerous tales of bigfoot and similar creatures that have been running along with the human race.
The Battle of Ape Canyon
In July 1924, a group of gold prospectors was staying on Mount St. Helens in Washington for a few days by building their own little cabin. They were pretty much sure that they would find gold there, but throughout this trip, they had a constant feeling that someone was keeping an eye on them. Many times they even found various weird signs around their cabin, such as large footprints on the ground, the size of which was many times bigger than a human's feet.
In addition, they could also see dark-haired creatures from afar, which could not be seen clearly due to the dense forest. On Friday, July 11, that team of miners set out on the top of the mountain to search for gold. They were walking on a narrow path along the edge of the mountain when suddenly a group of four giant monsters appeared in front of them. These creatures were like giant gorillas or apemen with a height of almost eight feet. Both the groups were standing still looking at each other and then one of the monsters made a loud roaring sound.
As a result, a miner in panic pointed a rifle at that bigfoot and started firing. After four bullets, the monster fell down from the mountain, and to save themselves, the miners rushed towards their cabin and locked the cabin properly from the inside. But unfortunately, at night, the bigfoots attacked their cabin. They broke the upper part of the cabin and also rained boulders and stones.
Consequently, the leader of the group got injured and became unconscious after being hit by a stone. Somehow, after spending the night, they ran toward the city and narrated this incident to the people. The gorge where this horrible incident took place is now called Ape Canyon and this violent encounter between Miners and Bigfoots is known as the Battle of Ape Canyon.
