The Devil's Pool located in Australia is such a place where fear can be felt in harmony with the beauty. In fact, it is a natural water body with large boulders at the bottom. You will get to see a signboard in this area, in which advice has been given to stay away from the pool. This sign is not unnecessary, as since 1959, 20 deaths have been reported here and there is no account of unreported deaths. Surprisingly, all the people who died in this pool were young men. The reason behind this strange and frightening coincidence is not understood by the people of today, but the local indigenous tribe living here had the answer to this coincidence.
According to them, the story of this pool being bloody started with a love story. The legend says that Yindinji Tribe used to live here in olden times. A beautiful young woman named Oolana also lived in this tribe, to whom the men of the tribe were very much attracted, but she lived in her own world. But one-day Oolana got married to a man named Waroonoo, an elderly man from her own Yidinji tribe. At first, everything was going well, but luck had something else in mind. Because shortly after they wed, another tribe settled in that area, including a young handsome man named Dyga. As soon as Dyga met Oolana, they were attracted to each other and fell in love. Now both of them started meeting secretly and Oolana felt love for someone for the very first time.

Now the two lovers, Oolana and Dyga, understood clearly that they are committing an adulterous crime together according to their tribes. Because of this fear, the two fled together and settled in the valleys near the pool to continue their affair. But soon the tribe elders came to know about their affair and they both were captured after a long search. Taking the opportunity, these two tried to run away from their captivity, but unfortunately, Dyga was dragged away and thrown into the pool. Despite being in utter despair, Oolana somehow freed herself from the captors. As Dyga hit the waters, she also threw herself into the Devil's Pools calling for her lost love, and her anguished cries turned the pool's still water into a rushing torrent. Also, with her scream, big boulders started slipping and falling in the pool.
Right after this incident, Locals believe that the spirit of Oolana started haunting the Devil's Pool and her calls to Dyga can still be heard here. Not only this, she appears near the pool to attract the young boys or men and drowns them in the water.
