Girls have slight Moustaches, it is known to everyone. But if they are able to grow a mustache, then why don't they grow a beard? Well, there is a very simple reason behind this and that is hormones. Everyone knows that men have higher levels of testosterone, and they can grow beards because the hair follicles on their jawline are stimulated by the hormone DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which is again produced by testosterone. On the other hand, if we talk about women, they also have the same amount of follicle cells on their faces like men, but they are less sensitive to DHT as the level of testosterone in females is very low. This is the reason why the females get a very light mustache and the beard does not come at all.
At an early age, every child has very soft light hair on their body, but from the age of eleven to fourteen, the hair growth begins rapidly in the body of both boys and girls. This is the age when we hit puberty and everything changes, and the sex glands develop rapidly, producing special hormones called androgens in the body of boys and girls. These are a group of sex hormones, which play an important role in body development and reproductive health. All genders make androgens, but men make more of them, such as testosterone, the most common androgen.
Men and women all have hair on their bodies, but men have more hair than women. Testosterone is found in the man's body, due to which he grows a beard and if he does not clean it with a razor, then it becomes very long and thick. Because of the beards, men look quite different from women, and somewhere the beard growth in men is also a sign of their sexual maturity. Hormones produced in men also regulate heaviness in voice and hair growth etc. On the other hand, Females have other sex glands which produce other types of hormones called estrogens. Estrogens produced in a woman cause her sex traits.
So these are the hormones that cause physical differences between men and women, making women's bodies appear feminine (soft and delicate) while men's bodies appear masculine (hard and strong).
