Basano Vase is a simple-looking silver designed vase that was crafted sometime during the 15th Century but it is such a cursed object that has many creepy tales associated with it. The actual story behind the vase being cursed is unknown, but the legend says that it was supposedly a wedding present for an Italian bride, given to her on the night before her wedding. She was a beautiful woman, who lived in a small village near the city of Napoli. Unfortunately, on her wedding night, she was found on the floor counting her last breaths and discovered dead the next morning. Some believe that while dying, her hands were tightly wrapped around the silver vase, and uttered her last words that she would take her revenge, and then died.

Now whether this vase was already cursed or was it cursed by the bride at the time of her death, no one knows, but over time this vase kept going from one person to another and every new owner used to have a mysterious death. After these events continued to happen, the family members of the vase's current owner understood that the vase was cursed and somehow connected to death. So, they decided that now they must save the lives of the other members, and had that vase hidden away in a secret location. But it was not kept hidden forever, as in the year 1988 this vase was dug up from somewhere by an unsuspecting young man, and a piece of paper was also found with a warning clearly written, " Beware... this vase brings death".

But everyone took this warning as a joke and this ancient vase was auctioned for 4 million Italian Lire (the currency of Italy between 1861 and 2002). Consequently, now the vase again came into circulation and the chain of deaths started once again. The first buyer was a pharmacist who kept this vase in his house for three months and died. After this, his family sold this vase to a 37-year-old doctor, who, despite being completely healthy, was killed within a few months. The vase was sold once again, this time to an archeologist, who died mysteriously three months later. By now the reputation of this vase had become progressively worse, and no one was ready to buy it at a good price. But then again this vase was sold to someone at a low price and the same thing happened with the new owner too.

Now everyone had considered this vase as cursed, so it had become unsellable. In an attempt to break free from this curse, a family member of the last victim threw it out of his window, but it hit directly on the head of a police officer who was passing by. The person apologized to that police officer, and accepted to pay a fine for it but refused to take the vase back. The police tried to place this vase in many museums, but due to its reputation as being cursed, none of the museums accept it. Ultimately, the vase was officially placed in police custody, but some said the police had buried it under the ground. Some even believed that it was buried in a graveyard, but where is this vase today, no one knows for sure.
