The oceans have always been a mystery to the people since long ago because numerous times some such things have been discovered underwater, which were capable of surprising everyone. It will surprise you a little that the entire world has only 10 percent of the oceans that have been explored so far, and no one knows how many secrets these oceans are still hiding in themselves. So today we are going to tell you about some of these strange things, which have been found underwater.
1. There is a place called Chuuk Lagoon in the ocean, 1800 km from the New Guinea island, and under it, divers found so many strange things, such as the wreckage of fighter jets, ships, tanks, and trucks. And all this was dated back to the time of world war 2.
2. There is a road made of such big stones (an underwater rock formation) in the depth of the ocean near the Bimini island in the Bahamas, which is about one kilometer long. It is sometimes also called the Bimini Wall or Bimini Road. This ancient underwater pathway was first discovered in the 1930s and people were trying to figure out that who would have built such a big stone road in the depths of the Ocean. According to some, it is a natural formation and from the point of view of others, it must have been built by the ancient kings. Some also consider the Bimini Road to be a lost highway to Atlantis. Well, the actual reason for this is still a mystery.
3. In 1901, the deep sea divers near the Antikythera island of Greece discovered the wreckage of a ship, but what was found inside it shocked everyone. Inside it, many artefacts were found, including statues of marble and bronze, ancient coins, unique glassware, pottery, jewelry, and the mechanism, known as the Antikythera Mechanism. After many years of research, it was revealed that this ancient Greek device was actually a computer, which must have been a masterpiece of mechanical engineering during that time. It was described as the world’s first computer or the oldest example of an analog computer. In fact, this 2,000-year-old hand-powered orrery was a mechanical model of the solar system, which could predict astronomical positions and eclipses decades in advance. It could also be used to trace the cycle of the Olympic Games. The Antikythera system was developed by the Greeks to accurately estimate astronomical and mathematical data.
