So far, the world has witnessed many such great people who have done such incredible works with their willpower and dedication, about which a normal person gets stunned at just thought of it. People find it difficult to believe how a human being can actually do this beyond their capabilities. In this article, we are going to talk about one such great man who has kept his hand raised in the air, not for one or two, but for the past 49 years without once putting it down.
Well, very few people might know the name of Amar Bharti, but the whole world is aware of the work he has done for faith and peace. But the reason why he is particularly known is that for the last 49 years he has been holding his hand raised without lowering it even for a moment. Not many people actually believe that Bharti's story is true, but it's as true as it can be. Many people see this feat of his as a miracle, while many others also call it stupidity, but in reality, this wonderful work of Amar Bharti is nothing less than a miracle.
If you've ever tried to raise your hand in the air, you certainly won't be able to hold it in the air for more than 2 or 3 minutes, as it's not possible to keep it in the air for that long. But according to this yogi, he did this work for the devotion of Shiva and the peace of the world. During one of his interviews, he revealed that he got this power from Shiva to make this impossible task possible. He explained, initially, he had to bear a lot of pain in keep raising his hand, but on the strength of the strong power of faith, he has been successfully keeping his hand raised since 1973.
The interesting thing is that he did not want to become a sanyasi from the beginning as he had no intention of doing so and had no such thoughts in his mind either. Earlier he was a bank employee and had a wife, children, and a house as well, but suddenly one day his mind turned towards spirituality. Therefore, he renounced everything such as his family, friends, and job in order to follow his religious calling and took the path of the dharma, dedicating the remaining time of his life to Lord Shiva.
But when he was asked about the reason for keeping his hand up, he always replied that this gesture is a way of showing his respect towards Shiva as well as being a way to militate against wars and support world peace. Some people say that if he ever puts his hand down, the hand will not work the way it was before, but yogi said that as long as he is alive he will not put his hand down.
