Do you know that every year in Australia, millions of crabs leave the forest and head towards the coast of Christmas Island by crossing the road in such a congested way as their presence on the road can be noticed in such huge numbers. But why do they do this, so actually these red crabs come out from their forest home every year when the first rains start during the wet season on Christmas Island and usually they head out to the ocean with the intention of spawning. Each female crab can release up to 100,000 eggs into the ocean.
During this time these crabs can be seen everywhere from roads to forests, houses, restaurants, bars, bus stops, etc. The view of this island seems as if it has rained crabs on the island and here they rule everywhere from the roads to the houses, even the roads here turn completely red.

Earlier no one paid much attention to them and they used to migrate in huge quantity due to which people crushed them under their vehicles. However, such boards have also been put up at places where it is written that the vehicle should be driven slowly, and sometimes even the roads are kept closed to save these crabs. But later a bridge was built for them to cross the road safely, making it the only "crab bridge" in the world. During the process of their migration, an awesome scene occurs there, causing Christmas Island to turn completely red.
