As a result, many of them always found a way to overcome this fear, they started adding small doses of poison to their food so that their body would be immune to the poison and no one could ever kill them like this.

The king we are going to tell you about today also adopted such a method to eliminate this fear, but unfortunately, this method later became a curse for him. Around 63 BC there was a king named Mithridates VI and he was always afraid that someone might kill him by mixing poison in his food and drink. So he started taking a little dose of poison every day by mixing it in his food, so his body could build up immunity against the poison and if someone tries to kill him by giving poison, he would not die. But one day after being defeated by another king, he fled to the lands north of the Black Sea in the hope that he could raise a new army. But unfortunately, he did not succeed in that, and rather than die at the hands of an unruly mob, he decided to take his own life by committing suicide.

He tried very heavy doses of poison to kill himself but every time his attempts failed because by then immunity had been built in his body against the poison. According to Roman History, he then requested his bodyguard and friend to kill him with the sword. Still, this practice is being performed by many people across the world for developing their immunity against the poison.
