Many of you must have traveled in Indian Railways, but often you must have seen paan- gutkha stains on trains and platforms, which look so disgusting. Every day a huge number of passengers reach their destination by trains, as the train has become an important part of every common man's life. People are constantly being made aware of the cleanliness campaign across the country and the government also keeps appealing to the people to keep their surroundings clean. But still, some people are not deterred from spreading dirt, whether it is in the city or at the railway station, which causes trouble to the government, and even after so many efforts, it is still very common for the people to spit gutkha in public places.

During the Corona period, people were asked to take special care of cleanliness, but despite this people did not improve their behavior at all. Everyone knows, whether it is the supply of medical oxygen during the Corona period or the recent coal crisis, these trains are the only supporting resource. But some passengers after buying a railway ticket start assuming that they have become its owner. And whether it is the berth of the train or the bathroom or the rail line, they start spitting paan, and gutkha peaks at the desired place and makes a lot of dirt.
Now it does not matter to those who spit, they spit wherever they want, but to clean these stains, Indian Railways has to spend 1200 crores annually, which means 100 crores per month only to clean these stains. And along with that, millions of liters of water are also wasted. This figure may surprise anyone, but the amount seems reasonable considering the number of railway stations and trains in the country as well as the number of passengers.
On one side, eating tobacco and gutkha is bad for health, and on the other side, spitting anywhere also causes the loss of thousands of liters of water and crores of rupees. Please understand a little and be a responsible citizen, save yourself from diseases by not consuming tobacco, and also save the country from the water crisis.
