History is such an ocean, whose depth is impossible to guess. Many kings and emperors did many things in their lifetime to make themselves immortal in history, one of them was the Army of the Terracotta Warrior. People have often found mysterious and ancient things while digging, similarly, in 1974, a group of local Chinese farmers found an army of 8,000 clay warriors under the ground. So today in this article, we are going to talk about this mysterious army of terracotta soldiers of China.
While digging, a secret tunnel was found inside which there were statues of 8000 terracotta soldiers made of clay, who looked as if they were real human beings. Those sculptures were placed in such a way that they are standing around the tomb of the king. Qin Shi Huang was the first Emperor of China and he began the china Qin dynasty. Qin Shi Huang was born in 259 B.C. and died in 210 B.C. He ruled China from 221 to 210 BC and he built the 21,196 km long Great Wall of China to keep his empire safe. Qin Huang was very afraid of death and he wanted to live forever, for which he searched for a potion that would give him eternal life. He had also called many alchemists who could give him this potion, but to no avail, which increased his fear even more.

Consequently, he started preparing himself for life after death, for which he built these underground chambers and filled those with everything the emperor needed. Along with this, the effigies made of clay of the army soldiers were also kept in the chambers. The three pits contained 150 cavalry horses, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and the Terracotta Army with more than 8,000 soldiers. It is believed that there were more than 700,000 workers who put their intense efforts together to make these sculptures.
Another special feature about these sculptures is that each of the statues of these 8000 soldiers is different and the face of any soldier does not match with one another. It is also believed that there is another chamber inside the ground in which the tomb of the king is kept, along with thousands of kilos of gold, diamonds, and other precious stones. This same method was also followed in ancient Egypt and such clay models have also been found in Japan. Moreover, in the olden times, many kings and emperors used to sacrifice living people for their later life, so that those people too could live with the king after the king's death.
