Those who are interested in math would be fully aware of pi, but those who don't even care about math would also be satisfied with the fact that pi is a very fascinating number, defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, recognized as a mathematical constant approximately equal to 3.14. Almost everyone would know that its value is 3.14, regardless of whether the person has sufficient knowledge of mathematics or not.
But being an irrational number, it cannot be written as a fraction, even though it is normally recognized as 22/7. It is infinitely long, as its decimal representation never ends and never forms a repeating pattern. Meaning, its decimal form neither ends (like 1/5 = 0.2) nor becomes repetitive (like 1/3 = 0.333333333333...), and it is represented as 3.141592653589793238462643383279 to its 30 decimal places.
Pi(π) is such a mysterious number whose decimal is followed by infinite figures and which till date no one has been able to calculate completely. But recently Swiss scientists and researchers have calculated the number of Pi after the decimal to 62.8 Trillion digits and that too after hard work of 108 days and nine hours. They also said, their experience will be very crucial in science and research advancement.
