Our universe is nearly 14 billion years old that's not really so young as it seems, although it might seem like all those stars, planets and other celestial bodies will live on forever, but that's really not the case. As time progresses, several inevitable processes will take charge and decide the fate of our planet Earth, the Sun, the neighboring planets, and the entire universe as well. In simple words, what it means is that all the good things must come to an end. So let's take a look at a very distant future that is notoriously difficult to understand and try to answer one specifically terrifying question: What will be the future of our planet Earth in the next 5 billion years?
As we know, the universe is so old that it took billions of years to form itself, including galaxies, stars, and planets, and is still growing. But there is one rule that the entire universe has always been working on, that is, nothing here will last forever, even Earth and Sun won’t last forever, as many catastrophic events await our world in the future. As the Sun is getting older, it is emerging as a massive red giant, and now just imagine the future of Earth when the Sun is about to be 100 times bigger than its current size. Over time, the Sun will be bigger and brighter, making it probably destroy any form of life on our planet.
