Why is the green color always associated with hospitals, mostly during surgical procedures such as hospital curtains and doctors' surgical attire, commonly worn by surgeons, nurses, physicians, and other workers during patient care? Although doctors wear white coats, but why do they wear green scrubs or even green masks while attending the operation theater? If talking about psychology, the green color generally brings a sense of calmness and healing that makes it extra suitable in a medical setting.
If you stare at any color for too long, then after a while you start feeling tense and feel some kind of restless and uneasiness. But green is such a color that no matter how long you look at it, nothing unusual will feel to you, your brain will always be fresh.
Also, it should come as no surprise that trees are normally green in color (the color of nature) as it is very comfortable to watch. So if the doctors do not have any kind of mental exertion, they will be able to see the blood and wound properly while doing the operation because they will not feel any kind of eye strain.

Even after seeing green for too long, if you see red blood, you will see it well, that is, it will look normal as usual in its natural color or form. This is the reason why the curtains of the operation theater and the rest of the medical setting are always kept green. It is also considered a top choice among doctors as the stains are not easily visible through the green scrubs. But some hospitals also prefer to use blue scrubs, and curtains, or other medical settings as well.
The truth is that these three colors red, green, and blue also make up the rest of the colors at the basic level, and out of these, green is the color that relaxes your eyes and does not cause any discomfort even after watching for hours.
