The Seven deadly sins, often referred to as the "Cardinal Sins," are the seven habits of humans, due to which the possibility of getting the hell for us increases. These teachings are mostly given in Christianity where we are told that how we can escape from these deadly sins. The catholic church has tried to bring us humans on the right path with the help of the concept of deadly sins so that we too do not reach hell in the afterlife by committing any of these sins. So now we will try to describe a little deeper about these seven sins along with the demons associated with them and also mention the punishments associated with these sins.
These are the 7 Deadly Sins of the world, God never forgives the one who committed any one of them
So if we talk about the first sin, then we have pride, pride means "proud" i.e. when a person prides himself on any of his abilities or in any way always keeps on praising himself or showing an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's importance, so he is committing a sin. The demon associated with pride is none other than Lucifer. According to Thomas Aquinas, pride is the deadliest of these seven sins because he believed that it is because of pride that the rest of the sins arise. In other words, it is the source of all other sins and is considered the worst sin. Now if we talk about the punishment for those who have excessive pride or self-importance, they are punished to be broken on the wheel.
On the second number we have envy, which means jealousy, jealousy is such an emotion due to which we start getting jealous of others and we want the same things that others have. In many cases, we remain always unhappy by comparing ourselves with others and due to jealousy sometimes we also take wrong steps like doing evil to others and attacking others, etc. The name of the demon associated with envy is Beelzebub. Now if we talk about the punishment of those who are envious, they are kept immersed in very cold or freezing water in hell. It is believed that after suffering in cold water, people realize why they should not be jealous of others.
At number three we have Gluttony, which simply means to eat too much or in a limitless way, but if we pay attention to its broader meaning, we will understand that it is a sin to indulge in anything in excess, even if it is money or any other resource, we should always use it by staying within a certain limit. The name of the demon associated with Gluttony is Belphegor. Now if we talk about the punishment of people who are gluttons, they are forcefully fed rats, toads, and snakes in hell and the process goes on uninterrupted.
Lust generally means "Hawas", "Kamukta" or "Vaasana". The desire for physical pleasure is also considered as a sin because it makes a person pay less attention to his other important works. It is believed that people who have relationships with other women or men or who go to different places just to satisfy physical pleasure are usually committing a sin. The name of the demon associated with lust is Asmodeus. Now if we talk about punishment, lustful people are burnt alive by placing them on fire and brimstone in hell.
At number five we have Wrath, which means anger. Any person who gets angry excessively is committing a kind of sin. In "The Lesser Key of Solomon", anger is described as man's worst enemy because an angry person always takes wrong decisions and those decisions can cause his friends and family to leave him. A person who always shows anger can also be violent and this quality is not considered as the quality of humans but the qualities of demons. The demon related to anger is none other than Satan, which we also know as Lucifer. The person who shows excessive anger is dismembered alive in hell.
Greed means "intense and selfish desire for something", it is believed that if a person is envious and glutton, then he must also be greedy. A greedy person always suppresses others to fulfill his desire and this is considered a sin. The name of the demon related to greed is Mammon and it makes people more greedy day by day by luring them with money or power. It is believed that if a person has faith in God, then he should not be greedy at all. Because by doing so, his faith in Mammon increases unknowingly, its example would be that you must have seen many people who offer a small amount of money to God and demand crores in return. Such people think that their devotion is in God but in reality, their devotion is in Mammon. In hell, a greedy person is boiled alive in oil as a punishment and this process never stops.
At number seven we have Sloth, which means Laziness. It is also considered an extremely bad sin like other sins because a person who is lazy cannot achieve anything in his life and keeps blaming others for his every failure. Sometimes he even blames that all the bad things happening in his life are because of God. The name of the demon associated with Sloth is Abaddon, who has also been identified as the "angel" of death and destruction in the Bible. In hell, a lazy person is punished by being thrown into a pit of snakes.
