Often people in love say that their heart is broken, but heartbreak is also a kind of disease that very few people know about. Generally, people know more about heart attack in heart-related diseases but there is another disease which we know as "Broken Heart Syndrome", known scientifically as Takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
Many people may have experienced heartbreaks at some point in their life and this can be attributed to different reasons like a breakup, rejection, cheating, etc. But sometimes heartbreaks can be of such an intense level that it gives us the same pain as physical pain, although it is an emotional pain, and sometimes it can even kill a person. Because in these heartbreaks early stages, the blood pressure and heart rate of that person keeps on increasing, and due to which there may be some chances of having a heart attack. If you think that a person is physically very strong, then nothing can happen to him/her with heartbreak then you are absolutely wrong, as heartbreaks can happen to anyone, and its effects can also be quite dangerous.
A study has revealed that broken heart syndrome mostly occurs when a person confronts severe stress and emotional events. When a person goes under a lot of stress due to the loss of a loved one or a heartbreak in love, the hormones that increase stress are released more, which increases the risk of broken heart syndrome. In broken heart syndrome, the muscles of the heart become weak and due to this, it is not able to work properly. Its symptoms do not appear suddenly, but the person starts feeling tired and weak, because a part of the heart becomes enlarged and this makes it difficult to pump blood properly.
To avoid Broken Heart Syndrome, keep yourself stress-free and don't take anything too seriously that makes you depressed on an emotional level. Heartbreak or the loss of a loved one is very sad, but do not let this sadness dominate you for a long time. Recognizing it on time, and take the stress out of your life.
