So before we get to know about the kings of Hell, let us first briefly explain to you what Hell actually means. Most of the religions of folklore traditions describe Hell as a place where evil people are punished in their afterlife. In many religions it is believed that after death, a person either goes to heaven or goes to hell, depending on his karma or deeds. The people who go to hell repeat at least one of the seven deadly sins in their lifetime so many times that it becomes their habit. Now these sins are also controlled by some devils but we will cover this topic in another article, but for now, we will discuss some of the most dangerous kings of hell and what kind of powers they have.
Paimon
Paimon was first mentioned in a Magic Spells book, "The Lesser Key of Solomon", whose author is unknown. This book was probably written in the 17th century and there Paimon is said to be quite obedient to Lucifer and given more importance than the rest of the Hell kings. Paimon is known by many as the "God of Mischief" and he is skilled in the arts and science. Many manuscripts depicted him as a young man riding a camel. The face of Paimon is a bit unmanly i.e. a woman, which is why he always needs a male host as people believe that he is very insecure about his face. It has been told in many satanic books that there are about 200 legions of spirits under Paimon's command, some of which are of the order of Angels and the rest Powers. He plays cymbals and trumpets to contact these spirits and demons and in fact, those spirits also play trumpets and cymbals. Paimon is one of the eight kings of hell and it is said that he used to be an angel before, but later he gave his allegiance to Lucifer and since then people have also known him as the duke of the underworld. Paimon knows all the secrets related to the earth and can give immense money and magical powers to those who call or worship him. Paimon has a lot of knowledge of science and the person who summons it automatically becomes very proficient in science. He can know a person's past and future, and the things hidden inside his mind, and he can show visions to people, manipulate them, summon spirits and attack people with certain evil spirits. Not only this, he can bring the dead to life forever and can also give them the ability to fly.
Beleth
Beleth is a very powerful and evil kind of king, who has eighty-five legions of demons under his control and he rides on a pale horse. It is believed that Beleth appears in front of his callers in a very scary and horrifying manner to check whether he has the guts or not. After this, the conjurer will have to make a triangle by holding a hazel wand in his hand, whose direction should be from the south to east and then upwards. After this, that person will order Beleth to come under his control through that triangle, but if Beleth refuses, then the person will have to intimidate him again and again by means of some conjurations to come into it. Here one thing has to be kept in mind that at any point of time, the caller will not insult Beleth, because by doing so Beleth takes the life of that person. But once a person has complete control over Beleth, then with his help, he can subdue any woman or man and take a lot of love from them.
Purson
Purson is often known as the Great King of Hell, under whom there are about twenty-two legions of demons. Purson is adept at finding lost things like a lost treasure, some historic facts, etc. because it is believed that Purson knows everything. He can tell your past, present, and future and has all the secrets and information about the creation of the earth. He brings with him some good spirits which can help the person calling him in many ways. Purson is a bit scary in appearance as he is depicted as having the head of a lion, riding on a bear, and holding a ferocious viper in his hand.
Asmodeus
Asmodeus is served and obeyed by seventy-two legions of spirits but these spirits are inferior meaning they are not so powerful and are considered lower in rank. Asmodeus has a seal in gold and although he is a king, but his rank in Hell is at number thirty-two. He is very powerful and appeared to have three heads, the first head is of a bull, the second is of a man and the third is of a ram, a bighorn sheep. Asmodeus has a serpent-like tail and rides an infernal dragon. Asmodeus can issue flames of fire from his mouth and always has a lance with a banner in his hand because he considers himself very royal.
Vine
Vine is commanding around 36 legions of demons, and apart from the king, he also has the rank of Earl of Hell. Like Purson, he can also find lost things and tell the past, present, and future of a person. In addition, he can bring storms and bring down walls and raise huge towers in one stroke. Vine appeared like a lion, riding a black horse and carrying a snake in his hand. In other words, it would not be wrong to say that Vine is quite similar to Purson.
Balam
Balam is the most clever of all these kings and it is said that he has a perfect answer to every question. He has over forty legions of demons under his control and he can make his summoner invisible and witty or very clever. In appearance, Balam looks exactly like Asmodeus as three-headed, the head of a bull, the head of a man, and the head of a ram, a bighorn sheep. He rides a strong bear but sometimes he is represented as a naked man riding a bear.
Zagan
Zagan is regarded as a great king and president of hell, who is being served and obeyed by over thirty-three legions of demons. He has the great powers to turn wine into water or water into wine or even blood into wine. Like Balam, he can also make his summoner very witty and clever, and other of his powers include turning any metal into a coin. In appearance, Zagan is depicted as a griffin-winged bull that after a while transforms himself into a man.
Belial
Finally, the name of the eighth and last king of hell is Belial. The Lesser Key of Solomon, an anonymous grimoire depicts Belial as the sixty-eighth spirit. Under Belial's command, there are about 80 legions of demons, and 50 legions of spirits. He was the first to be created after lucifer and hence he is much senior to all the kings. Belial can give ranks to demons and snatch their ranks too, and can also give them good spirits. In order to summon him, one has to make many offerings, gifts, and sacrifices. Because without these offerings he starts giving wrong answers to the demands.
