Who does not like to travel by train, but what happens when you are traveling on a train and you know that there is a lot of ghost spirits wandering in the station coming forward, who have been killed by being cut from the train in the past. Then what would you do, it seems like a fictional story, but there is such a railway station in India, which is considered to be the most haunted station among all the stations there. And the most incredible fact about this small station is that it was remained closed for 42 years just because of one ghost spirit. We are fully aware that only the official government authorities have the power or rights to shut down a station, as a common man can not close down it. As it was not only about the local people's beliefs but government employees, railway employees, MLA also started to believe that there is something terrifying at that place.
In 1960, a new station called BegunKodar was built in West Bengal, a short distance from Purulia. Now this station, which was built in the middle of the village so that the people could board the train quickly and they don't have to go far to the main station. Then one day there was a sudden news came that a girl was boarding the train, probably running and died immediately after falling under the train. Her body was completely cut or destroyed, usually, something similar had happened but it is not clear.

In 1960, this station was opened, and in 1967, that is, after seven years, the station master who lived there started seeing a woman in a white saree on the tracks every night. The first day he saw that she was trying to board the train by running behind it that led him to thought she might be a real girl. On the second day too, he confronted the same scene. But when he observed the same scene on the third day as well, he could not understand what was really happening, and after that, the very next day, he died suddenly. After this incident, there was a lot of news about something bad happening to the people working there. Then those employees started saying that they would quit the job as they did not want to work at any of the haunted stations where their lives were threatened.
And then eventually by the end of 1967, the ticket counter, the waiting hall, and everything else were closed down there. The fear had increased so much that whatever train was used to pass there at that time, its driver used to double the speed of the train when he saw that the BegunKodar station was about to arrive. Along with this, all the passengers used to close the windows of their seats completely so that they do not see any ghosts outside and all the train's doors were also locked tightly from inside.
For 42 years, from 1967 to 2009, this station was closed due to that woman's ghost, and so many times the authority was talked to, but they all used to say that what people are saying about this place being haunted, is not wrong. Because the government employees and authorities there were themselves believing that fact to be true. But finally, in 2009, Mamata Banerjee, who was the railway minister at that time, reopened the station and since then this station has been continuously in active mode. In the present time, during the day, it acts like a normal station, trains keep on coming and going, but at night, people always remain in the same fear as before.
Sometimes people still have paranormal experiences there, although in the present time there are very few cases. Many people go there also for adventure tours at night, but they found nothing. But the ghostly past history of that station still resides there, and everyone can feel that vibe.
