The existence of ghosts and spirits has been found in every era, every civilization, and every country, proving the fact that many ghostly places are still found in every corner of this world. So let's know about some such haunted places which are giving the most frightening experience to humanity.
Manila Film Center (Philippines)
Although it doesn't look like typical scary places, but still it is counted among the most haunted places in the Philippines, which served as the main theater for the 1982 Manila International Film Festival. Significantly, during construction work in 1981, on November 17, 169 workers were fell and buried under quick-drying cement, in which many died a painful death. It is said that no rescue team had arrived here for about 9 hours after the accident, due to which it became a more tragic event. Many believed that the ghosts of the dead workers still wander here, many people claim to see them and experience their horror.
Hell Fire Club (Ireland)
This haunted building in County Dublin, Ireland was built at the summit of Mount Pelier Hill in 1725. If the stories related to this hunting lodge are to be believed, some very strange incidents have happened here. According to the locals, this place was used exclusively for occult practices and demonic manifestations. The members of the Hell Fire Club used Mount Pelier lodge as a meeting place and they always left a chair vacant at each meeting for the Devil, in the hope that he would attend. The lodge has a reputation for being haunted, especially notably by a giant black cat. Since its construction, the hill has also known by the same name, "The Hell Fire Club". This place is considered one of the scariest places in Ireland.
Lulia Hasdeu Castle (Romania)
This building located in Romania was built by Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu, after the death of her 19-year-old daughter named Iulia Hasdeu. Her father dedicated this castle and his entire life to Iulia and became a spiritualist. Some people believed that Lulia's father designed this castle with a helping hand from his deceased daughter's spirit as if her spirit had called out from beyond the grave, describing the castle’s design. It is said that Iulia's father used to contact her spirit in a room in this building and the entire room was furnished for such endeavors. Some claimed that even today, Iulia’s ghost wanders in the property during the night in a white dressing gown and plays painful music on the piano.
The Princess Theatre (Australia)
In this theater, on the evening of 3 March 1888, an Italian singer Frederick Baker died on stage due to a heart attack while performing. After that incident, the theater has experienced several ghost sightings as many have claimed to have seen a ghostly figure in evening dress in the theater. For many years when any performance took place in this theater, a seat was always reserved for Frederick in his honor. One such anecdote is also associated with Baba Harbhajan Singh, a former soldier of India, for whom even today a chair is left vacant in every flag meeting between India and China so that his spirit can attend that meeting.
Beechworth Asylum (Australia)
Beechworth Asylum was a mental hospital located in Beechworth, a town of Victoria, Australia, which was in service from 1868 to 1995, and closed after 128 years of continuous operation. This hospital had availability of 1200 beds, which means about 1200 patients could stay here altogether. In the 128-years history of this asylum, around 3000 patients have died within its walls. It has also been heard that the presence of the spirits of all those dead people still wandering in this hospital, which is probably why people are afraid to come here. Beechworth Asylum is now counted among the most haunted buildings in Australia as it has been reported for experiencing many ghost sightings from time to time.
