The human body and the diseases that occur in it are interrelated, some of these diseases are very dangerous and life-threatening, while some are so minor, which are cured in a few days. The after-effects and weakness of illness in the body are a common thing during and after healing, but imagine a disease that instead of weakening your body turns you into a superhuman. Today we will tell you about some such rare diseases due to which such superpowers developed in humans, which were not there before.
Hyperthymesia
Hyperthymesia is such an extraordinarily rare disease that has been found in only 60 people in the world to date. The memory of a person suffering from this disease increases so much that he remembers every incident and every experience of his life in very precise detail. Not only this, if you ask a person about a particular day of their life, that person can tell you every single detail of that particular day without hesitation or conscious effort. This is indeed a disease that sounds very attractive and interesting to hear, but those who have had this disease say that this is not less than a curse. Jill Price, an American woman who was the first victim of this disease, says that due to this disease, she remembers every single moment in full detail that happened to her. Because of not being able to forget anything, her mind is always remembering a past incident, due to which she cannot live in the present. Every moment, every minute there are some scenes and events going on in her mind, due to which she always feels very tired and upset.
Congenital Analgesia
Congenital Analgesia is also known as Congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP). It is a medical condition in which a person suffering from this disease does not feel any physical pain. So far very few cases of this disease have been reported, but nearly 40 cases were found in Vittangi, a village in northern Sweden, which is actually an abnormally high frequency there. This disease seems like a blessing to you, because having a body free from pain and suffering can be a really pleasant feeling. But in fact, this disease is very dangerous, because our body is made in such a way that whenever our body sends the signal of pain to the brain, it informs the brain that there is something wrong in the body that needs to be corrected. But in this disease, no signal of pain goes to the brain, due to which the patient does not know whether there is a problem in his body or not. For example, if a person suffering from this disease gets a heart attack, he will not feel any pain and he will not be able to know that he is in dire need of going to a medical emergency, which can also lead to his death.
Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva
Imagine a disease in which your body starts turning like a stone man and becomes so strong like a giant rock that it seems very difficult to damage it. One such rare disorder is named Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, also known as Stoneman disease. It is an incurable disease whose search for a successful cure continues even today, but the fact is that it is a very rare condition that is estimated to be 0.5 cases per million people. In this disease, the damaged tissue and muscle of the patient start to harden like any bone, which seems identical to "normal" bone, simply in improper locations. But if this new bone is cut and removed, then many new bones start growing there instead of that wound. But this disease is a very painful condition due to extra bone growth in improper locations in the body. A person gets very terrible pain while moving, which also leads to tissue swelling, joint stiffness, and serious discomfort.
Savant syndrome
Savant syndrome is such a rare disease that truly transforms a human into a superhuman because a person suffering from this disease develops such an amazing ability to do anything that is beyond the imagination of any normal human being. In the patient of this disease, such memory-related talent is developed, which may include artistic ability, rapid calculation, map making, or musical ability. In this special talent, a person can draw an image right after looking at anything once, or he can read any book only once and remember it forever, and listening to difficult musical notes only once and can play it without any music training. Such disease patients demonstrate such amazing talent in drawing, singing, painting, 3D-modeling, and calculations that it is beyond the ability of any ordinary person to accomplish. Stephen Wiltshire, Kim Peek, Leslie Lemke, and Daniel Tammet are among the few who suffer from this disease, but the world sees these people as Genius. But despite such amazing talent, the patients of this disease find themselves failing to do such things in daily life which is a minor thing for a normal person, such as the inability to speak properly and walk properly, a condition like autism is one of the few side-effects of this disease.
Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy
Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy is such a rare genetic condition that causes immense muscle mass and muscle power in its patient so that even a five-year-old child becomes more powerful than a 25-year-old person. Actually, in this disease, the size of the skeletal muscle of the patient starts increasing rapidly and the body fat starts to decrease, due to which the body of that patient starts to appear very muscular and its muscle power becomes much more than any ordinary person. You must have seen the famous face of this disease, Liam Hoekstra, who was born in 2005 and has been suffering from this disease since childhood. Due to this, since childhood, his body looked like a bodybuilder and his muscle power was more than any other children of his age. Liam used to do such exercises at an early age, which required immense strength and flexibility. Recently, scientists in China followed the genetic changes caused by this disease and experimented on dogs of the beagle breed, which greatly increased their muscle mass and strength. People associated with this experiment believe that in the future, it will be possible to transform a normal human being into a superhuman by using the Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy experiment.
