From 1970 to 1980, when Japan was moving fast towards development and was on the path of progress, some part of Japan was living in the shadow of panic and fear. Fear of something that is difficult to say whether it is really there or not. Fear of a girl who was very beautiful in appearance but the death given by her was very frightening and who was searching for answers to her questions in the streets of Japan. One such urban legend of Japanese tales that we are going to tell you today is "Kuchisake Onna" or slit mouthed woman. According to folklore, Kuchisake Onna often wears a surgical mask on her face, wandering the deserted paths of Japan and hunting mostly children. Her face is partially covered with a surgical mask and she approaches the children or others and asks them if I look beautiful. This question sounds like a minor question, but the answer may be the most difficult, as the answer to this question can kill or save you.
But the problem is that there is no right answer to this question because when someone responds with "no", Kuchisake will attack that person with her weapon and kill them, and if the answer was yes, then she would take off her surgical mask and show her very scary and injured face. Her face was divided into two parts as if someone had ripped her face completely. The corners of her mouth were slit from ear to ear. After that, she used to repeat her question again whether I still look beautiful. After seeing Kuchisake's frightened face, if someone had answered her in 'no', she would have killed him as usual, and if the answer was still yes, she would make a wound on the victim's face just like her such as cut the corners of their mouth in such a way that resembles her.
In Japan in the 1970s, there was so much terror about this creepy ghost spirit that people did not let their children out of their homes. Even the people had stopped sending their children to school and the newspapers there remained always full of the news of the children and some others who were victims of Kuchisake. There were many people who even claimed that they saw the spirit of Kuchisake Onna. At that time, the terror of this dangerous female spirit had increased so much that the Government of Japan had to provide police protection to school children so that children could come to school without any fear. But even then Kuchisake Onna made many people her victim but the question is why she used to do this. This story begins during Japan's Heian period, about 800 to 1200 years ago. In a small village in Japan, there lived a very beautiful woman who was very proud of her beauty and she used to live with her husband who was a samurai. During the war, her husband had to leave to take part in the war and when he returned home from the war, he found his beautiful wife in an Objectionable Condition with another male person.

Seeing this, the samurai became very angry and injured his wife completely with a single war of his sword. This sword attack slit his wife's face completely from the corners of her mouth from ear to ear. Now, who will call you beautiful, after saying so, that samurai left his house forever? The strike of the Samurai's sword had made a very ugly and frightening smile-like wound on that woman's beautiful face. When the woman saw the condition of her face, she realized that the beauty she was proud of, that face now looks very scary. So she could not bear this shock and she took her own life with the scissors kept in her house. That beautiful woman died and everyone thought that the story was over, but after about 800 years she woke up again and became a creepy mystery, which is called Kuchisake-onna.
