There are many mysteries in the world that are yet to be revealed, one of these mysteries is a 262 feet wide crater which was discovered in 2014 in the Yamal peninsula, Russia's northern Siberia region, which quickly became world-famous as the Yamal Crater, holding secrets to the degasification of the Earth’s core. But this incident did not stop here, as many other mysterious craters started to be appeared in the surrounding area, after which speculation about the reasons for the formation of these craters started. Where some people believe that it is formed by hitting a meteorite, and others believe that it may have formed due to the explosion of rocks under the earth. But some are also linking this crater with the aliens, although scientists have denied this fact.
Professor Vasily Bogoyavlensky, Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences said that in the early stages it is understood that due to the melting of the ice beneath the ground, it became empty space and due to the high pressure of the gas it became a crater. But many other scientists believe that the reason behind the formation of these craters is the underground methane gas explosion. According to scientists, often when the ice that has been frozen for centuries under the ground starts melting, then there exist organic things like dead trees, plants, fossils leads to the formation of gases like CO2 and Methane, which has no other place to leave that space. And after rising heat due to global warming, the gas comes out after tearing the ground. According to the Siberian Times, 7000 huge underground gas bubbles are ready to explode on the peninsulas of Yamal and Gydan.
