It was November 2011 when a woman named Latoya Ammons came to live in a rental house at 3860 Carolina Street in Gary, Indiana with her three children of ages 7, 9, and 12. Latoya did not like this house from the beginning, but due to the poor financial condition of the family, she decided to stay in this house. A few days after the family moved into this house, successive paranormal incidents began to happen, creating an atmosphere of unrest in Latoya's and her family's lives. Latoya's family encountered the first incident in December 2011 when a large group of big black flies attacked her home. A large number of big black flies entered their house together, and the most surprising thing was that it is almost impossible for these flies to exist there in the harsh cold of December. Because these flies go to some warm places in winter, and being there in this season was not less than a wonder.

Latoya told in her interview that she often heard the sound of someone's footsteps near the stairs of the house's basement. Being fed up with these voices, she had blocked the path leading to the basement but still, the sound of those footsteps did not stop. One night, Latoya's mother "Rosa Campbell" saw the shadowy figure of an unknown man pacing in the living room, but when she tried to chase that figure, nothing was found there except the "bootprints" of a man. Campbell also claimed that she was choked by an unknown force. After this incident, on March 10, 2012, the fear of Latoya's family turned into reality and now they were convinced that there was some evil spirit in their house. But the whole truth was yet to be revealed, that night around 2 o'clock Latoya and her mother heard a shout from their 12-year-old daughter's room. When they both reached her room, seeing the scene there, both of them were completely shocked. Latoya's 12-year-old daughter was levitated above her bed in an unconscious state. For a while, they could not believe in their eyes that all this was really happening. Both of them got very scared and started praying. They kept praying until the girl returned to bed, and after some time, when the girl regained consciousness, she remembered nothing about the incident that had happened to her.

After all these paranormal incidents, Latoya and her family decide to seek someone's help. She recounted her distress to a local priest from a nearby church, but the priest refused to help her, as he was aware of the history of that house and his fear was preventing him from helping Latoya. However, the church priest told them that the house where they are living has not one or two but more than 200 demons. Hearing this, Latoya's senses flew away, the priest said that the house should be evacuated as soon as possible, but she could not do so due to her poor financial condition. Shortly thereafter, spirits began to enter the bodies of all three of Latoya's children, causing their voices to grow louder and a frightening smile appeared on their faces. Some nights were so scary for her family that they had to stay in a hotel to spend the night. The shadow of these evil spirits had come to dominate the children in such a way that they had to be taken to the hospital several times and the hospital staff and doctors were also stunned by these paranormal incidents.

Latoya's 9-year-old son suddenly started doing strange acts and had a weird grin on his face. Then, he suddenly walked backward up a wall to the ceiling in the presence of his family members and the hospital staff. The hospital staff has also confirmed in a statement to the police that this had happened in front of them, which was an unbelievable experience for them. After this incident, everyone became convinced that those children had fallen victim to demonic possession and since then the police, hospital staff, and church father decided to help Latoya and her family. The church father went to Latoya's house and performed the act of exorcism on the children. It is believed that by performing the exorcism, the victim gets rid of ghosts and evil spirits. A few days after the completion of this process, the health of that church father started deteriorating, and he admitted that he had been in this condition after the day he performed the exorcism in that house.

Gradually, one by one Latoya's family was freed from those 200 demons, but the horrific memories associated with this house always disturbed Latoya. And then with the government's help, Latoya's family was taken to another house. The discussion of 200 demons of this house had become so famous that even the people of the surrounding houses were always afraid, due to which the government decided to demolish this house and after a few months, this demon house was permanently demolished. The story was publicized in January 2014 and received national attention.
