Traveling to a tourist destination is always a beautiful and thrilling experience for everyone, and when you return from there you never feel alone, because you always bring so many memories with you. But when there is a talk about such a place which is known for its beautiful natural sites, snow-covered mountains, colorful flowers, ancient water bodies, etc, then how can we forget about Sikkim? Sikkim is considered one of the most beautiful cities of India, and this magical place filled with many natural sites is located in the Himalayan mountain region. But today we are going to talk about a place here that is associated with spirituality, which is known as Buddha Park. The park features a 41m-tall Buddha statue, making it one of the most iconic sights of Sikkim. It is also known as Tathagata Tsal. The Buddha Park of Ravangla is situated near Rabong (Ravangla) in South Sikkim district. This famous attraction serves as an important landmark to the Buddhist community. The decision to build this Buddha Park was taken on the day of 2550th birth anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha. The park was constructed between 2006 and 2013. The statue was consecrated on 25 March 2013 by the 14th Dalai Lama and turned into a major stop on the 'Himalayan Buddhist Circuit. This project was taken to encourage tourism and pilgrimage in Ravangla and to promote Buddhism in Sikkim state.

Buddha Park is a fascinating place that looks amazing, whether you see it from near or far, and it is surrounded by lush gardens, peaceful surroundings, and there is also a sufficient walkway for visitors. From here, you can witness a stunning view of the mountains and also the Cho Djo Lake, which is located within the complex and giving it an added attraction to visit. The site also has additional infrastructure created for a meditation center, museum, and the Buddhist conclave.
