This temple is built at the back of a large frog. It is the only one of its kind in India based on Manduk Tantra. It is said that once a King named Bakhat Singh was blessed by a frog. Thereafter, his life prospered and even his further generations had a good life. That's why a temple was built in the honour of that divine frog. According to Tantra, frog is a symbol of prosperity, luck and fertility. There is a strong belief among the followers. The architectural structure of this temple based on tantrism is very attractive due to its special style. Apart from Diwali in the Frog temple, devotees also come in large numbers on Maha Shivaratri. The Temple is constructed within an octagonal lotus. The Shivling installed in the temple was brought from the Banasur Prati Narmdeshwar Narmada Kund. The Oel town is around 12 km from Lakhimpur.
