There is a place in the world where the fish rain happens since 100 years and the name of this place is Honduras. Honduras is a small country in Central America, south of Mexico. The phenomenon of Fish Raining in Honduras occurring annually since over a century. People living here celebrate it as a Rain of Fish Season Festival. This festival is celebrated every year in the capital city of Honduras, Yoro. Yoro is the capital city of the Yoro Department of Honduras. It is notable for a local event known as Lluvia de Peces (Fish Rain), where it is claimed that strong storms make fish fall from the sky. You may be shocked to read this thing, but this is scientifically true and authentic. This festival is celebrated in Yoro with the first heavy rain in May and June. On this occasion, there is a surprise occurrence of rains like fish from the sky.
Honduras resident sees this surprised incident linked to the religious leader Father Jose Manuel Subirana Miracle. According to this folklore, after the arrival of Father Subirana in Honduras in 1866, Father Subirana was very sad to see the poverty of the people living here. After this, he started praying to God to eradicate the hunger of these citizens. After this, when Father continued praying for three days, on the third day, God heard Father's cry and a heavy rain of fish occured from the sky. This eliminates the hunger of the people living there. Since then, there is rain of fishes in the summer every year. This shocking incident has not only happened in the Latin American country, but there have been incidents of fish rain in many Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Singapore, India. Significantly, the fishes are alive while falling on the ground. Such incidents have been observed in India's Gujarat and Kerala. On the basis of science, these fishes are trapped in the clouds during storm and tornado. Then, during rain they fall on the ground. It is said that due to the speed of this vortex near the water, many of the fish, turtles or other creatures from the water come up with air. This is also called as Rain of Animals (Raining animals is a rare meteorological phenomenon in which flightless animals fall from the sky. Such occurrences have been reported in many countries throughout history. One hypothesis is that tornadic waterspouts sometimes pick up creatures such as fish or frogs, and carry them for up to several miles). As the storm progresses, this creature also goes away with it and when the speed of the wind gets reduced, then it falls on the ground, it seems like the fish are raining.
